New rules for gold jewelry implemented

In such a situation, jewelry without hallmark cannot be bought and sold across the country.

In such a situation, people who have non-hallmark jewellery may face difficulty in selling it or getting other jewellery in its place.
Hallmark is required
Hallmarked jewellery has the logo of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). Apart from this, it is also stated how many carats of gold the jewellery or jewellery piece is. Jewellery is usually made of 18 to 22 carat gold. With this, jewellers will no longer be able to cheat customers easily.
