Because people are giving Rs. 2000 notes even for petrol of Rs. 200. In such a situation, the problem of open money has increased for them. But the people at the petrol pump are accepting Rs. 2000 notes. At the same time, there have also been reports from some places that shopkeepers are refusing to accept Rs. 2000 notes. This is how you can file a complaint

According to the Reserve Bank, if a bank refuses to accept Rs. 2000 notes, then you can first complain to the manager of that bank. Every bank has a complaint book where you can report about it. The bank will respond to your complaint within 30 days. If this does not happen or you are not happy with the bank’s response, you can visit the Reserve Bank’s website.

Customers can register complaints under the Integrated Ombudsman Scheme of the Reserve Bank (RB-IOS). The Integrated Ombudsman Scheme is for immediate redressal of service-related complaints. This facility is available online. Apart from this, if any shopkeeper refuses to accept 2000 notes, you can also complain to the RBI with evidence. RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das has clarified that no shopkeeper or vendor can refuse to accept 2000 notes till September 30. Because the circular has not been taken into account.

No need to fill any form

The Central Bank has said in its circular that those who have 2000 notes can go to any bank in the country from May 23 to September 30 and exchange them. In one go, you will be able to exchange up to 20 thousand rupees, i.e. a total of 10 2000 notes. The Reserve Bank has clearly said that there will be no need to fill any form in the bank or require any identity card to exchange 2000 rupee notes. RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das has appealed to the people not to panic about exchanging notes. People have more than 4 months to exchange 2000 notes.

No deposit limit

At the same time, there is no limit to deposit 2,000 rupee notes in the bank account. But for this, the bank’s deposit rules will have to be followed. Apart from this, 2000 rupee notes can also be exchanged by going to the Business Correspondent Center. However, the limit for exchanging notes here is only 4000 rupees.
