One after the other, stars have started speaking out against ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ producer Asit Modi. First Jennifer Mistry, then Monica Bhadoria and now actress Priya Ahuja Rajda, who plays the role of a reporter, has also come out openly. Priya was associated with the show from the beginning and even though her role was not regular, she is remembered by the audience. Priya has said that she is not happy with the treatment she received in the show.
‘The actors there have to go through harassment’
She answered questions about how the working conditions were on the sets and why Priya has not been seen on the show for the last several months. Not only this, in a conversation with TOI, she told how she was treated unfairly and after some time she was thrown out like a fly. Priya said, “Yes, the actors have to go through mental harassment while working on Taarak Mehta. It happened a lot.”
Priya said that there was inappropriate behavior on the set. Priya Ahuja said, “While working there, I also faced mental problems. But it did not matter much to me because my husband Malav was the director of that show for 14 years, he was earning money. Asit Kumar Modi bhai, Sonali Ramani never misbehaved with me. But as far as work is concerned, the behavior was often inappropriate. After marrying Malav, he reduced my track. I had messaged Asitbhai many times about my track but did not get any response.
