Gojaro accident: Car coming on the wrong side claimed the lives of three members of the same family
A car coming on the wrong side became a disaster for the family
Versiji Varsangji Thakor, a resident of Manekpura village in Disa, works as a bhagiya in Runi village of Kankrej taluka. He was going to Runi village with his wife and daughter after finishing work the previous day. Then, the driver of a Swift car no. (Gj-01-RU-9506) coming from Thara on the wrong side near Vada village hit the bike. The three members died tragically on the spot after being hit by the car.

Bodies dragged for 200 meters
30-year-old Versiji Thakor, his wife Bhanuben Thakor and 6-year-old daughter Rajal died on the spot after being hit by a Swift car coming from the wrong side. The accident was so terrible that the bodies were dragged for 200 meters. After the accident, the police were informed and the bodies were shifted for post-mortem and the family members reached the hospital after informing the deceased’s family. The police have taken further action against the driver.
Two children become orphans in the family
The couple who died in the accident have a total of three children. Two daughters and a son, in which Rajal died in the accident, now a brother and a sister have become orphans after losing their parents and a sister.

For the last few years, cases of accidents have been coming out in Kankrej taluka. Due to which questions are being raised on the performance of the taluka police. Just a few months ago, three promising youths from Un village near Ranakpur village of Kankrej taluka died in an accident on NH 27.

Kankrej taluka MLA Amaratji Thakor wrote a letter to Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel recommending that the accident victim’s family be provided assistance from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. The MLA wrote a letter and recommended providing financial assistance keeping in mind the family’s situation.
