The police said that many people in the crowd were shouting slogans. The police reached the spot to control the situation.
The SP said that the policemen were trying to calm the people and talked to them for 45 minutes.
The police said that during this, efforts were also made to prevent the road from getting jammed.
The SSP said that during this, the crowd pelted stones at the police. The police took action to control the crowd.
There are also allegations of stone pelting at the Majewadi police post.
The police said that “some anti-social elements tried to create tension by taking advantage of the crowd. and attacked the police.”
SP Ravi Teja said that a DSP, three PSIs and a policeman were injured in the clash.
Meanwhile, the police said that one person died after being hit on the head by a stone.

On the lathicharge on the policemen, the SP said, “The police resorted to lathicharge and used tear gas to control the crowd.”
The police said that a search is on for those involved in the incident and several teams, including a Special Operation Group, have been formed for this.
